Navigating the Trump Reaction
We are in a new political and cultural landscape outside the middle zone of liberal democracy that we established over the last two centuries. We are here because that established area became optimized for elites and inhospitable to addressing the needs of average citizens.
If we fail to repair that overarching problem—both nationally and at more local levels—we will get pushed clear off the field of liberal democracy. Continue reading
